3-2-1 AWWW!!!
I just saw this and had to do a post. It’s two northern elephant seal pups who were rescued and rehabilitated at Laguna Beach’s Pacific Marine Mammal Center. They were released on June 11, 2011.
The two seals were released on the beach in front of their fans. The first seal is ready to go frolic in the water but waits for the second seal who seems not as ready. The first seal waits for the second seal and gives second seal a reassuring kiss. Then they hang out on the beach, with waves beckoning them, while they let their fans take videos and pictures (this is California after all). But, all too soon, their handlers get them to go in the water. Although, at the end of the video, it looks like they’re ready to come back for an encore.
Enjoy and let the melting of hearts begin.
